Whether it’s your diamond engagement ring, that special strand of pearls or other fine jewelry, these items should be appraised for insurance purposes. The most reliable appraisal is an opinion based on knowledge gained through education and special training that is backed up by market research and reinforced by experience.
Locating a qualified jeweler or appraiser to give the consumer the benefit of the most accurate appraisal has become challenging. Few local jewelers and even fewer jewelry stores located in shopping malls provide the consumer with insurance appraisals.
