Ladies custom, hand fabricated 18 karat yellow gold and Platinum Diamond and Emerald ring. This ring features a yellow gold shank and yellow gold side head units with a center Platinum four prong double gallery head unit. The ring mounting measures 1.80 mm wide at the back of the shank and weighs 3.6 grams. This ring mounting is marked 18 K PLAT on the inside of the shank and has the Trademark: BEAMS. NOTE: The ring has been custom fabricated by Beams Jewelers of Charlotte, North Carolina. The center Diamond is a clipped corner rectangular modified brilliant cut that measures 8.19 mm long by 7.28 mm wide by a measured depth of 4.52 mm. By mathematical calculation this gem weighs 2.08 carats. It has a depth percentage of 58.4 percent, length to width ratio of 1:1.125 and a closed style or pointed culet. The gemstone has eight pavilion main facets arranged in a “star shaped” pattern that are slightly narrow in width. This gem has a thin polished girdle edge and a low crown height. The table of the diamond has been measured with a table gauge and measures 4.91 mm or 64 percent. This gemstone has very good symmetry and a good polish finish. The diamond has been observed under 10X dark field illumination with a binocular microscope. The characteristic inclusions of this gem are a very small round included, light crystal in the pavilion area, located near one corner of the diamond. There is also a tiny V-shaped external grain line near the surface of the table. Along the girdle edge is a small abrasion that extends to the lower crown area and is classified as an external blemish. This diamond is Very Slightly Imperfect Grade 2 (VS2) in clarity. The diamond has been observed under North Equivalent Daylight Conditions of 5500 Kelvin and compared to a Gem Oro Master Set. This diamond is E color grade and exhibits a medium blue fluorescence when exposed to long wave ultraviolet light. NOTE: See Limiting Conditions. The diamond displays good scintillation. Mounted to either side of the central Diamond is a clipped corner square step cut natural Emerald. These gemstones are each set in four prong yellow gold double gallery style head units.

The one Emerald has a diameter measured at 5.18 mm by a depth of 2.81 mm or 54.2 percent. By mathematical calculation this Emerald weighs 0.51 carats. The gem has small planar lines located under the mid-section of the gem. The other Emerald measures 5.26 mm in diameter by a depth of 3.09 mm. By calculation this Emerald weighs 0.58 carats. It has a veiled area of included crystals under the lower crown facets and in the pavilion of the gemstone. The Emeralds are classified as Slightly Included for these Type III gemstones. They are very well matched for hue, tone and saturation. The Emeralds have been compared to a Gem Dialogue Master Set for color. They are a moderate bluish-green hue with 80 percent saturation. (B2G/80) This ring and the gemstones are in good condition, with only a minor pit area on the table surface of one of the Emeralds. The approximated total Emerald weight of this ring is 1.09 carats. ........................................................................................................................................
